Transcription: In 74 AD the natives helped and the Romans made a treaty which meant that the Siluris were finally conquered. About 70 years later this amphitheatre was built, somewhere around 150. The amphitheatre was used for all kinds of different games and plays, not just the barbarian bloodsport that the Romans were so famous for. The Romans stayed for another hundred or so years before they finally left the island in AD410. But in the meantime, the Siluris had at least once burned the entire city of Kirlian right to the ground. They never quite conquered, they never quite lost their teeth.
